Brazil and Venezuela discuss bilateral relations and work plan

The foreign ministers of Brazil and Venezuela, Mauro Vieira and Yván Gil, respectively, recently engaged in a productive conversation to review their bilateral work agenda.

Delegations from Brazil and Venezuela recently convened in Caracas to promote binational trade and combat smuggling at their shared border.

During the meeting, they endorsed the establishment of an administrative commission responsible for handling economic complementation agreements.

A working commission was also formed to assess Brazilian animal and vegetable products.

These initiatives were confirmed in a statement issued by the Venezuelan government.

Both parties have agreed to meet again soon to establish technical tables to revitalize the bilateral relationship.

This collaborative effort is based on the principles of solidarity and complementarity, aiming to construct a new cooperation framework.

It is worth noting that the resumption of relations between Brazil and Venezuela coincided with the return of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to the Presidency.
