The New Era of iPhone: iOS 17 Rolls Out

Apple has introduced iOS 17, its latest operating system, to compatible iPhone models. You can download it in your phone’s “Settings” section.

New perks include Contact Poster, which shows your chosen picture when you call someone.

NameDrop shares contacts just by getting two iPhones near each other. The update lets you view maps offline and shows calendar and weather on an idle screen.

A Journal app for storing memories will launch later. You can now convert voice notes to text in Messages and set arrival alerts.

For the update, go to Settings, select General, and pick Software Update. The update is for iPhones from Series 15 to SE made between 2018 and 2023.

If you own an iPhone X, 8, or 8 Plus, you’re out of luck, sticking to iOS 16.

Now for some history. Apple released its first iOS in 2007 and has been innovating since. User experience always comes first, evident in each new update.
