Italian flavors have always been present in the history of Brazil’s state of Rio Grande do Sul, so they could not be left out of the gastronomic route of the Bom Gourmet Festival in Porto Alegre.

From March 3 to 26, the event puts renowned restaurants of the gaucho capital in the spotlight that have prepared special menus for a fixed price.

Five of the 15 selected establishments represent the ‘Cucina della Nonna’, with Italian classics among the starters, main courses, and desserts.

In all of them, the complete experience costs R$69.90 to R$89.90 (US$13 to US$19).

Located in another tourist attraction in the capital, Boulevard Laçador, Di Paolo brings the flavors of the Serra Gaúcha with a la carte dishes that warm the soul.

There, you will be delighted with a dazzling sequence of skewers, pasta with several types of sauce, fried ‘polenta'(cooked and fried corn meal), and much more, which will be served at your request.

Also, at Boulevard Laçador, the Expresso Di Paolo is the chain’s ‘à la carte’ version.

The house has prepared the traditional cappelletti soup as a starter, followed by tortéi with dried tomato sauce, galeto (fried chicken), and other side dishes.

You can also try among the main courses the filet mignon with spaghetti in four-cheese sauce.

BRESSER GROCERY

Inspired by the old warehouses in the Italian neighborhoods of Mooca and Brás, in São Paulo, the Mercearia Bresser brings to Bom Gourmet typical dishes inspired by Italy, such as chicken fillet parmigiana, lasagna Bolognese and, of course, pizza.
