Second Brazilian Plane Brings Citizens from Israel

A second Brazilian Air Force plane, part of “Operation Returning in Peace,” landed early Thursday in Rio de Janeiro.

Due to the ongoing conflict with Hamas, this government-led operation aims to bring Brazilians home from Israel.

The Airbus A330, known as KC-30, took off from Tel Aviv. After a 14-hour flight, it landed at Galeão Air Force Base in Rio’s north zone.

Onboard were 214 stranded Brazilians, three cats, and a dog.

By Saturday, the government plans to repatriate 900 people. According to official data, 2,550 Brazilians were in Israel when the conflict started.

The first plane arrived last Wednesday in Brasília. It carried 211 people who shared their experiences of the Hamas attacks.

For decades, Israelis and Palestinians have fought over land. Both groups claim the same territory, rich in history and religion.

Hamas, known for its military actions, has ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007. The area has seen conflict for many years.

Recently, Hamas attacked Israel. In return, Israel declared war and took action in Gaza.

The situation is constantly changing, with casualties reported on both sides. Hence, the need for peace is pressing.
