Brazil: Rio Grande do Sul completes soybean planting; corn harvest reaches 54% of areas

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Soybean producers in Rio Grande do Sul have finished planting, after advancing 1 percentage point in the week, said technical assistance and rural extension company EMATER-RS on Thursday, while the summer corn harvest exceeded 50% of areas.

According to the agency linked to the state government, the Rio Grande do Sul crops had less rain and lower volume in recent days, and the overall scenario for the crop remains with a productive potential affected by drought.
