Neymar faces second fine for unauthorized construction at Rio de Janeiro mansion

Brazilian environmental authorities issued a second fine to football star Neymar on Saturday for failing to comply with orders to stop an unlicensed construction project at his mansion near Rio de Janeiro.

Earlier, authorities had discovered multiple environmental violations at Neymar’s luxury property in Mangaratiba, including constructing an artificial lake and beach without proper permits.

Despite the site being cordoned off and activities ordered to cease, reports suggest Neymar held a party and swam in the lake.

The city government confirmed that further environmental infractions were committed, leading to an additional fine whose amount will be determined after a full investigation.

Neymar’s representatives in Brazil have not provided any comments on the matter.

Currently recovering from ankle surgery in March, Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has also been questioned, as he has not played since February.

The Mangaratiba mansion, which Neymar acquired in 2016, reportedly spans 10,000 square meters and features amenities such as a helipad, spa, and gym.
