One of the main suppliers of the ‘Comando Vermelho’ drug group was arrested in Paraguay

The Paraguayan police reported the arrest of one of the leading suppliers of drugs and weapons to the organized crime group known as ‘Comando Vermelho‘, carried out in the center of the city of Capitan Bado, in the department of Amambay (center-east).

“Police in an important raid arrested one of the main suppliers of drugs and weapons to the Comando Vermelho criminal faction after intelligence and investigation work, the police arrested a man, of age, of Brazilian nationality,” the institution reported on its official Twitter account.

The detainee has two arrest warrants for homicide and drug trafficking in the state of Mato Grosso (southern Brazil) and is considered a supplier of drugs and weapons.

At the time of his arrest, he identified himself with another name which, according to the report from the Federal Police of Brazil, is of false content, the holder of which died in 2019.

The man was transferred to Ciudad del Este (east) to carry out the corresponding procedure for expulsion and delivery to the Federal Police of Brazil.
