At least seven dead after shooting in western Mexico

At least seven people have been killed and four others seriously injured following an armed confrontation in the municipality of Caborca in the western Mexican state of Sonora.

Authorities have arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the events and seized eleven weapons and ten vehicles, as the newspaper 'Milenio' reported.

However, security forces, including the police and the army, are maintaining an operation in the area following the incident, which includes several criminal groups.
