In a dialogue with Sputnik, leaders of the South American left expressed their high expectations for the meeting of presidents to be held on May 30 in Brazil, especially for the possibility of promoting regional unity and reactivating the integration process.
"The big issue is that there is a will to overcome disunity and begin to build a new space, and we hope that the retreat convened by [Brazilian] President [Luiz Inácio] Lula da Silva, opens a path where the leaders, beyond their political differences, can go in the same direction," said Carlos Ominami, former Chilean Minister of Economy . . .
