Bolivia maintains stability with controlled inflation of -0.19% in first quarter

The Government of Bolivia stated this Thursday that the South American country maintains economic stability, with the most dominant indicator of controlled and accumulated inflation in the first quarter of this year of -0.19 percent.

On this issue, the Bolivian president, Luis Arce, pointed out that Bolivia has the lowest inflation in the region due to the successful policies that emerged from the Social Community Productive Economic Model.

Arce stated that Bolivia achieved a negative accumulated inflation rate of 0.19 percent between January and March, which ratifies the country’s return to economic stability and that it has, as in 2022, maintained one of the lowest inflations in the region.

“Let’s maintain the stability of the economy with controlled inflation! As of the first quarter of 2023, the Consumer Price Index was -0.19 percent, one of the lowest in the region, thanks to policies that allow us to guarantee our security with food sovereignty,” Arce highlighted on his social networks.

The Minister of Economy, Marcelo Montenegro, recently assured that the Social Community Productive Economic Model, implemented by the Bolivian government since 2006, is strong enough to face a complex and adverse international context.
