Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Integration Benjamín Blanco said that the South American country will also break records in exports over the past 12 months, bringing them to a figure close to US$10 billion.

“This figure had not been reached since 2014, we are going to break a record after many years of exports and this also results in a positive trade balance of over US$1.5 billion, after 8 years without a positive balance for the country,” the Deputy Minister stated.

He said that this indicator is accompanied by growth in the nation’s export capacity, which also achieved international recognition and better prices in the international market for agricultural products such as cocoa.

On the matter, the Deputy Minister said that the country also intends to enter the European market with Bolivian wine.

The exportable products indicators contributed to the growth of the Bolivian Gross Domestic Product, which closed above 5%, surpassing the Ministry of Economy’s previous estimate of 4.4%.
