Civil Defense continues to monitor the episodes in which the rainy season caused population losses and damage.

Teams from the Fire Department, the city halls, the State Civil Defense Coordination, and the State Department of Social Development (Sedes) are carrying out an operation to help the victims in the interior of Maranhão.

34.7 thousand basic food baskets and 34 thousand liters of water have been sent, and 3.45 thousand mattresses have been delivered.

The popular restaurants in the affected municipalities will expand the supply of meals in the hybrid model.

So far, 200 thousand meals have been delivered.

In an emergency, the municipalities can easily access federal resources, make emergency purchases without bidding and exceed the fiscal targets for funding actions to combat the crisis.
