Hacker claims Bolsonaro proposed to manipulate electoral systems

In a recent revelation, a hacker alleged that former Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, had hinted at tampering with the electoral justice network to highlight potential vulnerabilities in the voting system before the previous year’s elections.

Walter Delgatti, an IT specialist, testified before a parliamentary committee examining the events of January 8.

He claimed that Bolsonaro even assured him of potential clemency if he got caught during these unauthorized actions.

This was said to be a part of Bolsonaro’s intensified campaign against electronic voting.

Delgatti also mentioned that there were suggestions from the former president and some of his advisors to design a deceptive electronic ballot box for propaganda purposes.

This would falsely depict a voter selecting one candidate but registering the vote for another, aiming to illustrate the voting system’s alleged unreliability.
