Five parties formalize the largest bloc in the Brazilian House with 142 deputies

With 142 seats in the House of Representatives, the MDB, PSD, Republicans, Podemos, and PSC parties have formalized the largest bloc in the House.

The bloc surpasses the intention of the president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), to unite his party and União Brasil, which would result in a coalition of 108 deputies.

The largest bloc in the House brings together parties allied to the Lula government and parties that have signaled their opposition or declared independence.
