Brazil has the seventh-highest GDP growth in the world, once again ranking among the 10 largest economies
Brazil’s GDP (gross domestic product) growth of 1.2% in Q2 surprised the financial market.
Analysts had expected a 0.9% increase from the previous quarter. According to a survey by Austin Rating chief economist Alex Agostini, the expansion in the period was the seventh highest among 26 countries.

Brazil ranked behind Holland (+2.6%), Turkey (+2.1%), Saudi Arabia (+1.8%), Israel (+1.6%), Colombia (+1.5%) and Sweden (+1.4%).

The country has returned to the top 10 economies in the world in Q1 2022.
Financial market forecasts obtained by Poder360 show that economic activity will grow by 0.4% to 0.9% compared to Q1 2022.
In the preview of GDP, the IBC-Br (Index of Economic Activity of the Central Bank) showed that Brazil grew by 0.57% in Q2 compared to the previous quarter.
According to the FGV (Getulio Vargas Foundation) GDP Monitor, the Brazilian economy grew by 1.1% in the same period.
Behind Brazil are Mexico (+0.9%), France (+0.5%), Germany (+0.1%), the United Kingdom (-0.1%), the United States (-0.2%), and China (-2.6%) in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter.
The industrial sector recorded the highest growth in Brazilian GDP in Q2, at 2.2%.
The services sector grew by 1.3%. In addition, the agriculture and livestock sector increased by 0.5%.
