Brazil: former vice president calls for “immediate interdiction'” of Congress against Dallagnol’s mandate removal

Former vice president of Brazil and current senator for the Republicans of Rio Grande do Sul Hamilton Mourão defended the idea that the National Congress should work to reverse the impeachment of federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR).

"Immediate interdiction" were the words spoken by Mourão in the Senate plenary on Wednesday, 17.

The senator's request was directed to the President of the Senate - and consequently of the Congress - Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG). In Mourão's view, the decision of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) against Dallagnol was "illegitimate".
