Argentine low-cost airline Flybondi resumes operations in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Argentine low-cost airline Flybondi resumed operations in Brazil on Sunday (2), after almost two years.

The company will operate two flights each week between the international airport of Ezeiza (EZE), in the Buenos Aires region, and São Paulo (GRU) and Rio de Janeiro (GIG) with one of its four Boeing 737-800.

At Galeão, where the first landing on Brazilian soil took place, the LV-KAY aircraft was welcomed around 9:45 am (Brasília) with the traditional baptism by the RIOgaleão concessionaire’s fire brigade. Later, around 5:40 pm (Brasília), the same aircraft landed in Guarulhos.

Until the pandemic, Flybondi was based at El Palomar airport (EPA), in the suburbs of the Argentine capital. Still, a court decision from the country’s Supreme Court made the company stop operating there, migrating its operations to EZE.
