Air Europa pilots on strike – flights to Paraguay and Argentina canceled

Air Europa pilots are initiating 14 days of strike action from Monday until July 2nd across all bases and work centers in Spain.

The Spanish Pilots Union (Sepla) is ushering in the third wave of strikes at the airline, following actions in May in response to the company’s refusal to accept their wage demands and sign the fourth collective agreement.

On the first day of the strike, a total of 15 flights were canceled.

Among the flights canceled by the airline on Monday were: Madrid-Bilbao, Madrid-Palma, Madrid-Malaga, Palma-Barcelona, Madrid-Paris (Orly), and Asuncion-Cordoba, as well as Asuncion (Paraguay)-Madrid, Madrid-Cordoba (Argentina), and Madrid-Malaga.

For passengers affected by these cancellations, Air Europa is offering several alternatives.

They can fly on the same route or to a different destination operated by Air Europa within 3 days before or after the original flight date or within 30 days of the original flight date.

Alternatively, they can preserve the value of their ticket as credit for a future flight to any destination operated by the airline.
