The Uruguayan Ministry of Public Health (MSP) announced in a press release that on Monday healthcare personnel and people over 60 years of age, all vaccinated against Covid-19 in the first stage with two doses of the Pfizer or Astrazeneca vaccine, may register for the third Pfizer dose.
“Both healthcare personnel and people over 60 will be given a date and time for the third dose vaccine after 6 months of receiving the second dose or a positive Covid-19 diagnosis,” the MSP reports.
“Registration for the third dose is strictly required; dates of administration will be assigned according to the timeframe required for administration and available spaces,” the portfolio adds.
According to MSP’s COVID-19 Vaccination Data Monitor, 980,478 Pfizer booster doses had been registered by 3:29 PM this Monday.
