Ecuador’s parliamentary commission completes a request for the impeachment of the president

The parliamentary commission that presented the impeachment request against Ecuador's president, Guillermo Lasso, for the 'El Gran Padrino' case is working on completing the proposal so that it can be forwarded to the Constitutional Court, which will analyze its admissibility.

"We are working with the teams on what we are going to refer to the Legislative Administration Council (CAL)", said legislator Viviana Veloz, representative of the opposition coalition Union for Hope (UNES), to local media.

The legislator specified that they are completing the information regarding articles 278 and 281 of the Integral Organic Penal Code (COIP) on the crimes . . .
