Colombia: money laundering investigation against Petro’s son officialized

On Tuesday, Colombia's Attorney General's Office said it is criminally investigating Nicolás Petro, son of President Gustavo Petro, in the context of accusations against him for links with drug traffickers and "possible money laundering", reports Infobae.

The Colombian head of state requested the investigation at the beginning of this month in the face of criticism about possible drug trafficking financing schemes in his political environment.

Amid the accusations, his brother, Juan Fernando Petro, was also affected.
