Belarus and Nicaragua conclude five cooperation agreements

Belarus and Nicaragua have jointly established five collaborative agreements in diverse fields, including trade, investment, science and technology, agriculture, and culture.

The documents were inked by Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik and Nicaraguan counterpart Denis Moncada following an official Belarusian delegation visit to Nicaragua.

The set of agreements encompass the development of a Joint Commission on Economic and Commercial Cooperation aimed at enhancing trade and investment between the countries, facilitating business exchanges, and encouraging intercultural connection.

Also included is an agreement to abolish visa requirements, aiming to stimulate further cooperation across the spectrum.

Agricultural cooperation was another major focus, with an agreement to boost production and productivity in both countries.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed to promote mutual cultural exchanges, notably between the Bolshoi Theater of Minsk and Nicaragua’s Ruben Dario National Theater and Incanto Foundation.

The final agreement is a contract for the procurement of dump trucks for Managua’s municipality, facilitated through a credit arrangement with the Belarusian Development Bank.

Both parties anticipate the agreements will foster mutual benefits and enhance the countries’ relationship.
