Lula assures that Brazil will grow “more than the pessimists predict”

The President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, assured that his country would grow above the forecasts of the financial market, which he considers pessimistic.

He also criticized the economic agents selling Brazil's image to the world as a "weak horse" because "nobody will bet anything."

"I believe we will grow more than the pessimists foresee."

"More things will happen in Brazil than what people expect to happen, and it will depend very, very much on the disposition of the Government", he stated at the beginning of a meeting with other ministers on initiatives for the productive . . .
