Brazil’s Gol resumes flights to Paraguay from April 2022
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Considered Brazil’s largest national airline, Gol will resume its flights to Asunción, after suspending them in March last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Starting Saturday, April 9, Gol will offer customers three weekly flights from Guarulhos International Airport (GRU).
These flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In addition, from May 29, another flight will be available on Mondays to the same destination, with a total of four weekly flights between the two countries. On the other hand, return flights from Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, Asunción to São Paulo will be available on the same days.

Gol announced that the routes will be operated with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which, in its international configuration, has a 176-passenger capacity.
At this time of the year, Silvio Pettirossi International Airport is crowded, particularly with Paraguayans returning to the country after several years. Whole families come to the terminal to wait for their loved ones who live in other countries and fly in for the New Year’s holidays.
