Tite Becomes Flamengo’s New Coach

It’s official, Tite, who led Brazil’s national team in the last two World Cups, is now Flamengo’s new head coach.

His contract with Flamengo will last until December 2024. Alongside Tite, assistant coaches like Matheus Bachi are coming in.

They all worked with him in the national team. Financial talks slowed down the hiring, but a Sunday meeting settled everything.

Tite will start training Flamengo tomorrow. He replaces Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli. This is Tite’s first club job after leaving the Brazilian national team last year.

Known for his success, Tite has 16 career titles. Flamengo aims to improve and qualify for next year’s Libertadores. So, they’re scouting for new players.

Flamengo will let go of some current players to afford these new signings. Among them are Rodrigo Caio and Filipe Luís. Other underperforming players might also leave.

Tite’s arrival could affect Éverton Ribeiro’s future with the club. On the other hand, keeping Bruno Henrique is a priority for the team.

No major organizational changes have happened in Flamengo yet. Some key figures like Marcos Braz continue in their roles despite criticism.
