Metro-Goldwin-Mayer calls on leftist group in Uruguay to stop unauthorized use of Pink Panther figure

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The image of the Pink Panther figure was used for the political campaign in Uruguay that advocated the repeal of 135 articles of the Urgency Law (LUC), one of the first enacted by the government of Luis Lacalle Pou.

Now the studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has filed a lawsuit demanding the cessation of the use of the cartoon and recalling that it owns the copyright to the character.

The famous cartoon animal appeared in costume at political events, on propaganda and virtual posters, and even in spots with the character's original music in videos that . . .
