Brazil: the city of São Paulo has over 52,000 homeless people, an increase of 8.2% in 2023, says survey

Nationwide, 206,000 people were living on the streets, which shows an increase of 7.4% since the last survey.

The state of São Paulo concentrates 86,782 people of this population.

That is, almost half of the Brazilian homeless population lives in the cities of São Paulo.
