From economic praise to drug allegations: Evo Morales speaks out on Bolivia’s changing reputation

Former Bolivian President Evo Morales has recently commented on the ongoing search for Sebastián Marset, the alleged Uruguayan drug trafficker.

Morales suggested that the situation implies the current Bolivian government, under President Luis Arce, might not be actively pursuing measures against drug trafficking.

In a local media program, Morales stressed that his intention isn’t to undermine President Arce but to ensure that all measures are being taken against drug trafficking.

He urged the government to act decisively.

He lamented that under his administration, Bolivia was recognized for its economic policies and social programs.

However, the country is now gaining notoriety for being associated with drug activities.
