By Roberto Caiafa
Mac Jee, a Brazilian company specializing in defense technologies, presents its new 155 mm caliber projectile ammunition to the market.
Manufactured at the company’s facilities in Paraibuna, Vale do Paraíba (SP), the ammunition has been consolidated in the market since the 1930s.
It has been evolving according to new needs and geopolitical scenarios.
The Brazilian company has all the certifications of the Brazilian Armed Forces.
It masters the entire production cycle, from the creation of the initial project to the forging and loading of the ammunition, offering efficiency and an excellent cost-benefit ratio.
The projectile has two types of explosive charge, TNT or Comp B (composed of fusible mixtures of RDX and TNT).

The detonation fuses have different capacities, depending on the mission, and can be of the time, proximity, or impact fuze type.
Mac Jee’s CEO, Alessandra Stefani, emphasized that “this is cost-effective ammunition widely used in border defense and peace support operations.”
“In the current scenario, it is one of Europe’s most widely used munitions due to its range and deterrent power”.

The company’s production capacity for 155 mm ammunition is 85,000 units per year, with demand mostly international.
“Our focus is on the Middle East, US, and Eastern European markets,” the executive explains.
“it is a fundamental market for Brazilian sovereignty, which generates employment and income and represents approximately 5% of our country’s GDP.”
“The sector is going through a moment of recovery, and the support of the public sphere will be fundamental for the Brazilian defense industry to seek opportunities abroad and show our strength to the world,” she concludes.
The 100% Brazilian and exclusive technology, with the participation of Mac Jee from the creation and initial project to the forging and loading of the products, has leveraged business in the world market.
In the last two years, over R$120 million were invested in developing new defense products and expanding the company, with the construction of a new manufacturing unit in Paraibuna focused on storage and logistics of energetic materials to meet the high demand.
