According to Guardia, during the presentation of the Saab 340B and TC-12B Huron aircraft, the Navy has already analyzed the technical files of the aircraft offered, which it considers to be in excellent condition, with a significant number of flight hours remaining.

Initially, there would be two P-3C aircraft and one P-3N, although a third P-3C unit could be acquired, a model that would be used for maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare.

The P-3N would be deployed for search and rescue (SAR) missions.
