Oil price drops in the external market and harms Brazilian Ibovespa

The main index of the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3), Ibovespa, closed the session on Tuesday, 14, with a slight drop of 0.2%, at 102,000 points.

With the performance, the indicator reached the lowest index again since December 2022.

After the announcement by US authorities about the aid to the financial sector in an attempt to mitigate the impact caused by the bankruptcy of SVB Financial Group and Signature Bank, the market had a calmer and less volatile day.

At first, it is believed that the event should not become systemic – thus ruling out the chances of a crisis like the one in 2008.

Today, however, the fund-raising process showed signs of normalization, and the rush of withdrawals, caused by the panic that spread among the population, also cooled down.

With this, the bank’s shares have shown recovery.
