April Demand for Domestic Flights in Brazil Down 93 Percent from April 2019

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Demand for domestic flights was down 93.09 percent in April compared to the same month last year, reflecting the increased impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on Brazilian commercial aviation, reported the Brazilian Airlines Association (ABEAR).

The number of passengers carried on domestic flights contracted by 94.55 percent to 399,558, and the offer of aircraft seats fell by 91.35 percent in the same comparison.
