Brazilians recover US$52.64 million from ‘forgotten’ bank accounts

Brazilian account holders have already recovered nearly R$275 million (US$52.64) through the Central Bank's System of Receivables (SRV) reopening in 2023.

The monetary authority released the balance this Monday, 13.

The sum involves withdrawals since the platform returned to operation on March 7.

In 2023, the highest individual withdrawal made by a Brazilian account holder in SVR reached R$749,000 (US$143,400), according to the Central Bank.

The withdrawal occurred on Wednesday 8th.
