Brazil: Ibovespa rises with a positive sign of Central Bank nominee

Ibovespa, the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3) main index, rose 0.31% and closed the day at 107,000 points.

In addition, the new Central Bank nominee gave his first press conference statement.

This was the fifth consecutive session in which the indicator rose.

The dollar, meanwhile, ended the day down 0.75%, quoted at R$4.95.

Market players reflected on the release of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, which advanced slower than expected in April, showing that the interest rate policy adopted by the Federal Reserve - the US equivalent of the Central Bank - has had an effect . . .
