Brasília and Moscow discuss increasing Brazilian purchases of Russian fertilizers

The governments of Brazil and Russia discussed today, Monday, how the South American country can increase purchases of Russian fertilizer, essential for Brazilian agriculture, official sources said.

"Russia supplies about a quarter of the fertilizers imported by Brazil. I discussed with (Russian Foreign Minister Sergey) Lavrov measures to guarantee the flow of this input of vital importance for our agriculture," said Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira after meeting in Brasilia with his Russian counterpart.
