Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Modern classics, future classics, and a big bag of BCS specials in the the entirely rebuilt and reinforced (they simply couldn’t take it last time) Barzin in Ipanema.

One of the few joints in Rio with a spacious venue, nice jungle theme, three floors and a pool table. There is also another location in Lagoa so be sure to check them both out.

Zozô (Urca)
The ambiance is right at this tucked away spot in Urca. Set at the bottom of Pão de Açúcar is this spacious laid back venue with fire batton jugglers at the entrance and indoor video games. With a mixture of house and hip hop, Zozô brings in the crowd.

Sururu na Roda (Lapa)
Sururu na Roda is formed by Nilze Oak, Fabiano Salek, Sean Chapman, and newcomer Juliana Zanardi. The group is one of the most famous samba circles and was an integral part in the process of revitalization of Lapa, the bohemian icon of Rio de Janeiro.
