In Rio de Janeiro, a subtle and unspoken competition is unfolding among the luxurious hotels of Copacabana Palace, Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana, and Emiliano Rio.
All three celebrate anniversaries in August with grand galas, concerts, and musicals.
The first celebration begins at the Fairmont, which marks its fourth year.
The festivities will include a performance by the trio Pedro Mahal, singer Aisha, and electronic music from DJ Scarlet.
With 1950s-inspired design and refined gastronomy, tickets for the celebration range from 50 to 2000 reais.
Emiliano Rio is celebrating seven years with two nights of shows featuring singer Silva.
The concerts include hits like “Fica Tudo Bem” and “A Cor É Rosa,” with tickets priced at 2000 reais.
A Full Moon dinner will also be offered on the rooftop, harmonized with Blue Moon beer and a special menu crafted by Chef Camilo Vanazzi, priced at 420 reais per person.
The most anticipated event is at the iconic Copacabana Palace, celebrating its centenary.
A part of the LVMH conglomerate, this symbol of Rio’s aristocracy will host a black-tie dinner on August 17th, with a musical recounting the hotel’s history and a performance by Gilberto Gil.
The public will also be treated to a free DJ Alok show on the sands of Copacabana on August 26th.
The grand celebrations reflect the hotels’ status and heritage in a city known for elegance and luxury.
