São Paulo’s Pacaembu stadium to transform into “Paulista Beach” with sand courts and loungers

In an exciting move, the traditional Pacaembu Stadium in São Paulo is set to host “Paulista Beach,” a free project featuring a sandy beach area complete with courts and sun loungers throughout July.

The setup includes four sand courts for beach tennis and footvolley and a central arena for official tournaments.

The free program will operate from Tuesday to Sunday until July 30.

The main stage can accommodate a thousand spectators and will host various beach tennis and footvolley championships, with the decisive matches broadcasted by SporTV channels.

The 4,200 square meters project aims to promote leisure, well-being, and environmental awareness.

To participate in the community courts, individuals can make an appointment online.

A commitment to sustainability is integral to “Paulista Beach”, demonstrated by free water refill stations encouraging the use of reusable bottles or cups and waste separation facilities.

The initiative has received support from multiple sponsors, including Braskem, which contributed via the Sports Incentive Law to ensure the project’s environmental sustainability.
