Lula defends that countries unite to create peace plan between Russia and Ukraine

The President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, defended yesterday that the countries unite to design a peace plan and present it to the Russian and Ukrainian leaders at the negotiating table to end the conflict facing both countries.

In an interview granted to the Portuguese television RTP, Lula said, “We need to build a narrative that convinces Putin and Zelensky that war is not the best way to solve problems.

NATO, the United States, and the European Union must start talking about peace and discuss the issue”.

Lula also clarified that the South American country does not want to “align itself with war” and “ally itself with a group of countries working to build peace.”

“If the whole world is directly involved in the war, I ask myself: who will talk about peace?”

“Who is going to talk to the governments that are at war to defend peace? Who is going to take that step?” questioned Lula, reaffirming the importance of forming a group of countries seeking to end the conflict.
