The crowd is a Friday mix: the Pinheiros dinner crowd migrating from Mourato Coelho, the post-work contingent who have been building toward this since Monday, visitors discovering that the best samba in São Paulo happens in a plain room in Pinheiros with no decoration and no pretence.
