The electronic circuit is back. D-Edge Moving — the Thursday deep house and tech house residency that has been the club’s weekly anchor since its 2003 founding — returns from midnight tonight after a week’s absence. Moving is the gateway to the weekend: the first night when the Barra Funda venue’s two pistas and rooftop terrace run at full voltage. The lineup typically drops day-of on @dedgeclub — check before heading out. The venue on Av. Auro Soares de Moura Andrade — concrete, LED-panel walls, Tietê-adjacent — is one of the most respected electronic rooms in Latin America. Moving runs from midnight to sunrise. The Thursday crowd is the committed crowd: DJs, producers, the people who stay until dawn and go to work the next morning. Tickets via Ingresse or Blueticket. Ride-hailing recommended — the venue is in Barra Funda, not directly on a main metro line after midnight.

Thursday after midnight is when São Paulo’s two circuits diverge: the electronic city at D-Edge in Barra Funda, the acoustic city at the Borogodó in Pinheiros and Casa de Francisca in Sé. Two parallel worlds, one Thursday.

Three Stages · Curadoria · Sé

Thursday at Casa de Francisca runs the full programme — all three stages of the Palacete Teresa operating simultaneously. The Salão at 9:30 pm with the curadoria’s seated centrepiece. The Thursday Casa carries more energy than Wednesday: the crowd is larger, the Porão more physical, the Salão shows tend toward the bolder end of the curadoria’s range. Samba · Late Night · Rising

Thursday is when Ó do Borogodó stretches from Wednesday’s 2 am close to 3 am — the first late-night samba session of the week in Pinheiros. The room on Rua Horácio Lane fills more completely on Thursdays: the regulars who avoided the quieter midweek nights arrive alongside the weekend-forward audience. Cover rises toward R$30 on busier Thursdays. The sound — samba de raiz, choro, MPB in a room where the musicians are inches from the audience — intensifies with the later hour and the larger crowd. Violin · Classical · Rock

Outside the regular circuit but impossible to ignore: Ara Malikian at Teatro Bradesco tonight. The Lebanese-Spanish virtuoso violinist has built a global reputation for concerts that obliterate genre boundaries — classical, rock, flamenco, Arabic music, all filtered through a stage presence that is as much theatre as it is music. His YouTube videos have hundreds of millions of views; his live shows sell out worldwide. Malikian in São Paulo is an event. Teatro Bradesco at Bourbon Shopping. Blue Note SP continues the double bill at 8 pm and 10:30 pm — check bluenotesp.com for tonight’s acts. Thursday at the Blue Note is busier than midweek: the Varanda Blue fills, the room is louder, the energy builds. Bar Brahma at São João and Ipiranga holds daily 11 am–1 am — the Thursday Brahma is busier than Wednesday, the live samba playing to a crowd that’s building toward the weekend.
