Welcome to your São Paulo daily guide for Tuesday, March 24, 2026. It is free-admission Tuesday at the MASP — the best day of the week to experience the Histórias Latino-Americanas programme without paying a centavo. Four exhibitions are on view: Sandra Gamarra Heshiki’s panoramic solo, La Chola Poblete’s Brazilian debut, the Wichí textile collective, and the permanent collection across both buildings. The Sesc 24 de Maio’s HIP-HOP 80’sp show enters its final two days before closing Thursday — today is the last calm weekday to visit. Yesterday brought a dramatic market reversal: the Ibovespa surged 3.24% to 181,932 after Trump announced a five-day truce on Iran strikes, the dollar fell to R$5.24, and Brent dropped below US$100. The weather cooperates — 29°C with just 10% rain.
This is part of The Rio Times’ daily São Paulo daily guide coverage for expats and the international community.
