The Blue Note SP runs its most emotionally charged double bill of the week tonight. At 20h, Mark Lambert leads the Blue Note Big Band with guest vocalist Gabi Anias — big band jazz that fills the Conjunto Nacional room with the full-spectrum sound that only a large ensemble can deliver. At 22h30, the mood shifts to something deeply personal: Vannick Belchior presents “Meu Nome é Cem,” a multiartistic celebration of her father Antônio Carlos Belchior, who would have turned 80 in 2026. The project reunites music, literature and visual arts to revisit and update the legacy of one of the most emblematic names in Brazilian popular music — the Ceará-born poet-singer who gave us “Como Nossos Pais,” “Velha Roupa Colorida” and “Alucinação.” Idealised and coordinated by Vannick, the show promises to be more than a tribute — a conversation across time between father and daughter. The Casa de Francisca runs two stages tonight. In the Salão at 21h30, Fred Demarca presents the live show for his second solo album, “A Cabeça” — fruit of a partnership with lyricist Roberto Didio and musical direction shared with João Camarero. Accompanied by Camarero on violão and Xeina Barros and Alfredo Castro on percussion, the show balances intimacy and pulse in a setting of acoustic craftsmanship. In the Sala B at 21h30, a concert of extraordinary ambition: Laura Lavieri, Cacá Machado and Igor Caracas recreate João Gilberto’s 1973 “white album” — the radical recording made in a New York studio with American percussionist Sonny Carr and electronic music pioneer Wendy Carlos. Fifty years later, the trio reimagines the album’s spirit of mantras, silence, and time passing slowly. Two shows, two rooms, one Palacete Teresa. R. Quintino Bocaiúva, 22 – Sé. Metro Sé.

The hottest sideshow of the Lollapalooza week is sold out — and for good reason. Interpol and Viagra Boys share the Audio stage in Água Branca tonight for a night that promises to be the most intense of the pre-festival programme. Viagra Boys open at 20h30 with the sarcastic, performative chaos that has made the Swedish punk band one of the most talked-about live acts in the world. Interpol follows with the dark, elegant post-punk that defined a generation — “Obstacle 1,” “Evil,” “Slow Hands.” The Audio is known for its raw energy and close proximity between crowd and stage, which should amplify both acts. If you don’t have a ticket, this one is gone. The consolation: Blood Orange at Cine Joia (Liberdade, doors 19h, show 22h, tickets still available) and RIIZE at Terra SP (19h) offer alternatives. All three are official Lollapalooza sideshows.

The D-Edge reopens for the week tonight with Moving — the Thursday party that has been the club’s anchor night for over a decade, bringing deep house and tech house to four rooms synced to floor-to-ceiling LED panels designed by Muti Randolph. The D-Edge has been running since 2003 in Barra Funda under the direction of Renato Ratier, and it remains one of the most important electronic music venues in South America. Thursday at the Ó do Borogodó opens later than Wednesday — doors at 22h, samba until 3 am. The later start and longer hours make Thursday one of the Borogodó’s strongest nights: the crowd arrives post-dinner, the musicians are warmed up from their midweek sets, and the energy carries well past midnight. The repertoire on Thursdays has historically featured the Cochichando group and Anaí Rosa — check @odoborogodobar for tonight’s specific act. Cover ~R$20. The bar on Rua Horácio Lane, 21, fills fast after 23h — arrive by 22h30 for a spot near the musicians. The Pinheiros bar strip (Aspicuelta, Mourato Coelho) is active on Thursday evenings.
