Markus Schulz takes the Moving floor at D-EDGE · Flavinho Lima brings forró to Casa de Francisca · Diego Figueiredo and Liena Centeno at Blue Note SP
01 Tonight’s Vibe Menu
Thursday is the strongest night of the week in São Paulo, and tonight delivers across every zone. In Barra Funda, D-EDGE opens the Moving floor for a special edition with international headliner Markus Schulz — the Arizona-based trance and progressive house architect making a rare São Paulo appearance. In Centro, Casa de Francisca runs two simultaneous programmes at the Palacete Teresa: Flavinho Lima brings forró, baião, xote, and arrasta-pé to the Porão from 9:30 pm (first 100 entries free), while the Salão hosts Arthur Nestrovski presenting his new solo album Violão Violão vol. 2 — eight choros and waltzes in new arrangements, with special participation from Tatiana Parra. On Avenida Paulista, Blue Note SP runs a jazz double bill: Diego Figueiredo e Quinteto de Cordas at 8 pm, followed by Liena Centeno, Guga Stroeter e Orquestra HB in the late set. Both shows on Eventim. Mostly sunny, 28°C, only 15% chance of rain — the best weather of the week so far.

1D-EDGE — Moving · Markus Schulz
Electronic · Trance · Progressive
The D-EDGE’s Thursday residency Moving rarely lands an international headliner of this calibre on a weeknight. Markus Schulz — born in Germany, based in Arizona — is one of the defining architects of the trance and progressive house genres over the past two decades, with a discography built around his Global DJ Broadcast radio show and label Coldharbour Recordings. He has played the world’s major festivals and clubs, but São Paulo appearances remain infrequent, making tonight’s edition of Moving a significant event for the city’s electronic music community. The D-EDGE, under the creative direction of Renato Ratier and located in Barra Funda at Av. Auro Soares de Moura Andrade, 141, is São Paulo‘s most internationally recognised electronic music club — two dance floors, a lounge, and a rooftop terrace with city views. Moving runs from 11 pm. Tickets via Ingresse or Sympla.

2Blue Note SP — Diego Figueiredo e Quinteto de Cordas
Jazz · Guitarra · Câmara
Diego Figueiredo is one of the most technically accomplished guitarists in Brazil today — a São Paulo–born virtuoso whose reputation has grown steadily across jazz festivals in Europe, the United States, and Latin America. His command of both classical and jazz guitar technique allows him to move fluidly between choro, bossa nova, and jazz, often within the same phrase. Tonight he presents a programme with a Quinteto de Cordas — five string players arranged around his guitar — an unusual format that highlights the harmonic depth of his compositions. The Blue Note SP, curated by Luiz Calainho and Facundo Guerra and located on the second floor of the Conjunto Nacional at Av. Paulista, 2073, is São Paulo’s most prestigious live jazz venue. Show at 8:00 pm. Tickets via Eventim.

3Casa de Francisca — Flavinho Lima · Forró, Baião & Xote (Porão)
Forró · Baião · Nordestino
Flavinho Lima is a paulistano with deep nordestino roots — son of a pernambucana mother and a paraibano father, raised on Luiz Gonzaga, Jackson do Pandeiro, and the violeiros and repentistas of the Northeast. He built his career in the Trio Zabumbão and went on to accompany artists including Dominguinhos, Elba Ramalho, Anastácia, Gilberto Gil, and Zeca Baleiro. His voice is strong and distinctive, and tonight’s Porão programme promises a full evening of forró, baião, xote, and arrasta-pé — the Northeastern Brazilian dance traditions in their most celebratory form. The first 100 entries are free (distributed at the box office from 6:40 pm to 8:30 pm). The Porão at Casa de Francisca — inside the historic Palacete Teresa, R. Quintino Bocaiúva, 22 — is one of the city’s most intimate live music spaces. Porão opens 7:30 pm, show at 9:30 pm, closes at 1 am.

4Casa de Francisca — Arthur Nestrovski · Violão Violão vol. 2 (Salão)
Choro · Valsa · Violão solo
Arthur Nestrovski is one of Brazil‘s most thoughtful musician-intellectuals — a guitarist, writer, and music critic whose solo work engages deeply with the choro and classical guitar repertoire. Tonight he presents Violão Violão vol. 2, his fourth solo album and tenth overall, released on February 27, 2026. The record gathers eight choros and waltzes in entirely new arrangements. Special participation tonight from singer and composer Tatiana Parra, one of the most refined voices in contemporary Brazilian music and a longtime collaborator whose interpretive precision suits Nestrovski’s spare aesthetic perfectly. The Salão at Casa de Francisca is the house’s main stage — the most intimate and acoustically considered room in the Palacete Teresa. Check casadefrancisca.art.br for the confirmed set time.
The late set at Blue Note SP unites three forces with deep mutual history. Liena Centeno is a Cuban vocalist whose partnership with Guga Stroeter stretches back to the Sambatá cultural exchange project, a Brazil–Cuba initiative that produced the album Agô — Cantos Sagrados de Brasil e Cuba. Guga Stroeter is a musician, producer, and founder of the Big Band HeartBreakers — the HB of tonight’s billing — an orchestra with a long São Paulo track record in musicals, concerts, and recordings. The combination of Liena’s voice, Stroeter’s arrangements, and the full weight of the HB orchestra is a rare convergence of Brazilian and Cuban musical intelligence. Tickets via Eventim.

Midnight — D-EDGE for Markus Schulz

05 Still Going After 22h Late night
Thursday night in São Paulo splits cleanly into two arcs. The acoustic arc — Casa de Francisca and Blue Note SP — runs until around midnight, with Flavinho Lima closing the Porão at 1 am and the Liena Centeno / Guga Stroeter late set taking the Blue Note SP stage into the small hours. The electronic arc starts later: D-EDGE‘s Moving with Markus Schulz opens at 11 pm and runs through the night, as all D-EDGE Thursday nights do. The Rua Augusta strip and the bars around Consolação are the no-cover options in between — active from 10 pm until 2 am. For those already planning Friday: D-EDGE presents the Freak Chic residency, and Casa de Francisca opens the Salão from 8 pm through to 1 am.
