The court also fined him $550 for breaching an emergency order active at the protest.

Many activists stood by Anon outside the court building. Andrea Giorgetta of the International Federation for Human Rights criticized the long sentence.
Since the protests began, over 200 people, including minors, face charges under this law.
New Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin leads a diverse coalition. He stated he will not change this controversial law.
