Construction begins on Ecuador’s first skyscraper

The development of Ecuador’s inaugural skyscraper and Guayaquil’s tallest building, known as “Maxximus Guayaquil City Center,” has begun.

Guayaquil is the second largest city in Ecuador and also the nation’s economic capital and main port.

The foundation stone was laid on Wednesday (July 12), marking the commencement of the 50-story structure located next to “The Point” in Puerto Santa Ana.

The real estate developers, Pronobis and Millenium, have strategically partnered to undertake this project, which is expected to generate over US$150 million in financial revenues, create 520 direct jobs, and 2,080 indirect jobs.

The construction investment for this 170-meter-high building amounts to approximately US$128 million.

Millennium, a Campana organization renowned for its diverse investments across multiple economic sectors, has an impressive portfolio of successfully executed projects.

This includes Quo Luxury, Solaris de Guayaquil, Platinum I and II, Torre Millennium, Titanium I and II, Millennium Village, Grand Bay Manta, and most recently, Maxximus Guayaquil City Center.

Pronobis, a company within the Nobis Holding group, boasts 25 years of market experience, having successfully concluded over 50 projects with sales surpassing $700 million.

The skyscraper will encompass 102,000 square meters of space, over 1,000 parking spaces, and numerous high-end amenities and finishes.

It is the first project in Latin America to introduce the renowned Versace Ceramics brand for its residential areas.

Maxximus Guayaquil City Center will be a mixed-use building, offering luxury residential spaces, corporate offices with top-tier services, and a diverse range of amenities.

Notable features include a lobby with state-of-the-art security systems and closed-circuit monitoring, VIP lounge and bar, foyer lounge, business center, gym, squash area, game room, large auditorium, sports bar, bowling area, executive games, hair salon, executive and event lounge or private rooms, as well as valet parking.

The residential units will feature independent lobbies with security and video surveillance, VIP lounge and bar, private resident lounges (with teriyaki and cooking areas), foyer lounge, coworking zone, gym, wet areas with sauna and Turkish bath, party room, game room for children and teenagers, and a cinema.

The outdoor space will offer amenities such as an outdoor cinema, adult and children’s swimming pools, fire pit, barbecue area, bar, cabanas, outdoor playground, and hiking trail.
