RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The subject “World War III” is one of the most commented subjects on Twitter and searched on Google this Friday morning, January 3rd.
The United States acknowledged having conducted an air strike near the Bagdad airport, that killed the commander of the Revolutionary Guard of Iran, Major General Qasem Soleimani.
The order for the attack came from U.S. President Donald Trump, according to CNN news network.
In a statement, the Pentagon said “General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack U.S. diplomats and military personnel in Iraq and throughout the region.
After the attack, Iranian President Hassam Rouhani declared that the U.S. attack that killed Soleimani was a “coward act” and “another sign of America’s frustration and helplessness in the region.”
