Covid-19 infection ensures vaccine-like protection

A person infected with the coronavirus has similar immunity to the covid-19 vaccine, according to a study in the scientific journal The Lancet, published on Thursday 16.

One of the largest papers on the subject, it compiles 60 others and also considers the emergence of Omicron.

"Although an infection provides protection that diminishes over time, the level of this appears as long-lasting, or even greater, than that conferred by vaccination," the research states.
