According to data from the Ministry of Health, Brazil recorded 318 new deaths caused by Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total to 574,527 deaths since the pandemic began.
The country also had 14,404 new coronavirus cases this Sunday, bringing the total to about 20.57 million records of the disease.
According to Statista, the leading German company specializing in market and consumer data, Brazil ranks fifth in Latin America for deaths per million in the last seven days. It is better positioned than Cuba, Honduras, Mexico, and Argentina. Worldwide, it ranks 18th.
