Brazil’s Top Companies for Talent

Merco, a Latin American corporate monitoring firm, has identified Natura as Brazil’s leading company for attracting and retaining talent.

This recognition is based on a study obtained exclusively by Bloomberg Línea. The study is a key reference for assessing employer reputations.

The challenge of talent retention and attraction is significant for large companies.

Many individuals sought new employment opportunities post-pandemic, aiming for a better quality of life.

In this context, some Brazilian companies have excelled, particularly Natura.

Victor Olszenski, Merco’s Director in Brazil, notes the growing trend towards valuing employees.

He predicts stronger employee appreciation in 2024, adapting to work models that emerged post-pandemic.

Olszenski emphasizes the need for a balanced approach in all professional areas.

Ambev, Toyota, Bradesco, and Pepsico follow Natura in the ranking. Olszenski attributes their high rankings to their efforts exceeding legal requirements for workers.

These companies address various needs traditionally not prioritized in workplaces, like work flexibility and gender pay equality.

They are also leaders in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies.

In the tech sector, Amazon and Google rank prominently, while Samsung holds the 20th position in Brazil for talent attraction and retention.

Merco’s study involved interviewing 6,322 individuals from October 2022 to September 2023.

The participants included employees from large corporations, business students, alumni, headhunters, and HR experts.

The consultancy then assigned scores to each company based on each respondent group’s responses and significance.

In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights into Brazil’s corporate landscape.

It highlights the companies leading in talent management, crucial for business success in today’s competitive market.

The findings underscore the importance of strong human resource practices in attracting and retaining top talent.
